Today I am going to review some of the candles I recently purchased from Bath and Body Works off of their Sweet Shop line....
So pictured below they are - Watermelon Lemonade, Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut, Lemon Drops, Pink Lemonade Pound Cake, Pink Bubblegum, Strawberry Sorbet and Raspberry Peach Macaron.
Aren't the names alone so enticing! Enough to make your tummy grumble lol.
So the Cinnamon Sugared Donut on first sniff, I definitely smell the Cinnamon strongly, maybe when it is burning I may get the sugared scent? From Bath & Body Works it says " Share the delight of a freshly-baked vanilla cake doughnut covered in sugar crystals and crushed cinnamon".
Lemon Drops is well very lemony smelling...a pleasant sweet lemon scent...the candle is described as "That magnificent mouth-puckering mixture of sweet and tart is captured in this blend of fresh lemon zest, sugar crystals and a hint of vanilla."
Strawberry Sorbet has a distinctive strawberry scent very similar to that of the Fresh Picked Strawberries hand cream. It is described as "A cool, new treat to delight your senses, sorbet made from the sweetest, sun-ripened strawberries, spun sugar and a touch of vanilla".
Pink Bubblegum smells delightfully sweet and juicy. Bath & Body works says "A fragrance you can really sink your teeth into with notes of pink sugar cane, juicy watermelon and a hint of vanilla".
Watermelon Lemonade this scent is also very juicy and mouth-watering, definitely can smell the watermelon...a very refreshing sweet scent. It is described as " Quench your thirst for long, summer days with this refreshing mixture of watermelon ice, sparkling water and freshly squeezed Meyer lemons." I think so far this one is my favorite scent of the bunch...the scent description is very accurate.
Pink Lemonade Pound Cake gives off a mild lemon scent...nothing like Lemon Drops, with a hint of perhaps vanilla....the scent is described as "A delicious combination of two classic Bakery treats includes notes of freshly squeezed lemon, rich cake and ripe raspberries".
Raspberry Peach Macaron imparts a slightly sweet peach scent which is probably mixed with the tartness of raspberries. It is described as " The Ultimate French Cookie is celebrated in a unique blend of ripe raspberries, juicy peach and almond cream."
So as you know a candle may smell one way before it is burned, but the true scents only manifest themselves when it is burning...so I anticipate these will smell even more delicious when burnt.
Out of all my favorite pre-burning is the Watermelon Lemonade...this is why I chose to buy the mini candles, since you can't really tell how a candle will smell until you get it in your hand (and these were ordered online)...it was safer to buy mini ones before investing in the 3 wick candles.
